Reformation of the Partnership. The firm is headed by a Policy Board over five Operational Boards: Building Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Planning & Civil Engineering, East Asia and Operations Boards.

1997

Launch of Arup Energy and Arup Transport as worldwide businesses.
The One Arup initiative results in the new Board of The Arup Partnerships.

1998

1998 RKL-Arup established as the firms water engineering business following the merger with Rofe Kennard & Lapworth.

Ove Arup Partnership becomes a limited company.
Merger with Design Research Associates Ltd within the Advanced Technology Group to form DRAL-Arup, providing services in vehicle design and styling.
Merger with BMP Communications to work with Arup Communications in providing strategic telecommunications services.

2000

Australasia Board established as the sixth operational Board.
Merger with NAPA to form Arup NAPA, providing services in the Airports sector.
Transport Division renamed Infrastructure Division.
Merger with Jolyon Drury Consultants to form Arup-JDC, providing materials handling and logistics services.
