Chronology
1972 | During first inspection extensive cracking at the coupling joints is found. |

1977 — 1978 | Cracks are discovered in mid-span areas. Coupling joints are repaired. |
1986 — 1988 | Coupling joints are strengthened. |
1991 | Another inspections shows repetition of crack patterns from previous inspections. The decision is made to strengthen the entire bridge. |
1995 | Strengthening works using external prestressing tendons are completed by the end of the year. |
