Abstract: |
Between 2007 and 2009 the railway tunnels at Radfeld/Wiesing and Jenbach in the Lower Inn Valley were driven with two Herrenknecht TVM-V4 machines (face with slurry support, D = 13 m). The tunnelling work was monitored according to the principles of the observational method as part of the independent data control. This article describes the experience from the project (contracts h2-4 and H8) and make suggestions how the abstract requirements of the observational method can be implemented efficiently and economically. The results lead to the conclusion that mechanical tunnel drives in loose ground are predestined for the successful application of the observational method. |
