Notes
The Krakow Grunwald Bridge takes its name after the 1410 Tanneberg victory of the Polish-Lithuanian army over the Teutonic Order knights. Built in 1972 as the sixth Krakow bridge, it is an imposing, very wide construction (31 m), ranking as 3rd among the widest Vistula bridges (length just 153 m). Accommodates also a bicycle path. Unlike the nearby Debnicki Bridge does not attract transit traffic, but heavily used for intra-city commuting. Contains also the tram track. Great views on two national Polish sanctuaries, the Wawel Castle and the Skalka Church. Great, huge but not aggressive construction, going well with the historical neighborhood.
