| 24 November 1969 | Construction of the 63rd Street Tunnel begins. |

| 29 October 1989 | The tunnel is put into service, however only the subway tracks on the upper levels are used for the New York Subway F trains. |
| 2000 | Completion of the 63rd Street Tunnel Connector which links the 63rd Street Tunnel to the IND Queens Boulevard Line. |
| 17 December 2001 | The 63rd Street Tunnel Connector is put into service by shifting the route of the F train. |
