Abstract:

This paper presents results from testing full‐scale walls made of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC). A new type of reinforcement—steel mesh reinforcement protected against corrosion, was used in these tests. This paper is a second part of the paper and a continuation of previous tests. It presents the effect of reinforcement on the connection zone of perpendicular walls. The analysis was performed for load‐bearing capacity and crack resistance of the connection of perpendicular walls subjected to non‐uniform loading. The results were compared with the results from previous tests. The results were also analyzed and rules for using reinforcement in the connection zone of perpendicular walls were established.
