Abstract: |
For the first time a high-speed railway line with a slab track is being set up in a largely karstified area through the construction of the new DB route between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt. Apart from a short description of the project, the various problems and the approaches for their solution for constructing a permanently operationally-safe railway line are dealt with. The paper mainly concerns itself with the detailed exploration using currently available methods, their Interpretation and the differentiated approaches obtained from them for developing the Investigated karst structures. The findings gained in the course of this project for stage-by-stage exploration can be applied for the construction of traffic arteries with high qualitative demands on stability and Standing time in similar geological situations [11]. |
