Abstract:

In 1987, a new railway bridge was completed in Dusseldorf with a main span of 250 m. This is the largest span of a railway bridge in Germany and the first four-tracked large bridge. Fundamental characteristics of modern steel bridge construction are demonstrated in the construction and assembly of this bridge.
