Abstract:

In actual engineering, the assembly error of the beam in the construction process may cause the system linearity not to meet the design requirements. In this paper, the zero-moment method is proposed to study the construction of continuous large span steel box girder bridge. Firstly, find the position of the zero moment of the girder beam, secondly, cut the girder beam at the position of zero moment to make the beam become three-span simply supported structure, then re-weld the girder beam after the linear adjusted. The results demonstrate that the design requirements of system linearity and internal force of the beam can be meet by using the Zero moment method.
