Abstract: |
This paper deals with a new prestressing concept for long, sectionally-erected prestressed concrete bridges with a T-beam cross section using internal unbonded longitudinal tendons. The new construction is contrasted with a structurally identical bridge using the customary internal bonded longitudinal tendons. Based on the new way of construction, the product quality, even of such long sectionally-erected bridges, can be increased considerably with additional costs of less than 2% of the total production costs. |
