This paper analyses, on the basis of the corpus of the Unités d'habitation, the great diversity of the construction systems adopted in the 1950s and 60 s to meet the need to build ‘for the greatest number' in the form of a typological invention covered with an envelope that is iconic and apparently stable, indeed rigid. |
