Abstract: |
After two decades of only few projects for stress ribbon bridges in Switzerland, the consulting engineers of “Conzett Bronzini Gartmann AG” designed three footbridges of this type within a couple of years. These three projects were custom made to their surroundings and to the needs they had to fulfil. This paper discusses the advantages of each of the three systems regarding its fitting in the surroundings, its susceptibility towards vibrations, its ease of construction and its building costs. |
