Notes
Named indirectly after a local philanthropist and landowner, Adolph Sutro: The tower is located on Mount Sutro, renamed from Mount Parnassus and which was the location Adolph Sutro selected to plant a forest in 1886. Mount Parnassus was renamed to Mount Sutro in Adolph Sutro's honour as a philanthropist and ex-mayor of San Francisco.
