2 January 1958 | The bridge is opened to traffic. It has a design capacity of 90,000 vehicles per day. |
---|---|
26 July 2013 | The bridge is closed to traffic in preparation for demolition of the structure. Traffic is moved to the new extradosed bridge which carries both north- and southbound traffic until the second extradosed structure is completed in 2016. Then northbound traffic will be shifted to that bridge. |
