Chronology
February 1989 | During flooding, the bridge collapses and prohibiting all railroad services to Inverness and trapping all locomotives at the Inverness depot. To restore at least partial service on the line, a locomotive is trucked across Waterloo Bridge and set on the rails on the other side of the Ness. The bridge is then hastily replaced by a steel girder bridge. |
