Notes

The Nowy Kazun Bridge has a bit complex history. The first bridge was constructed here in 1911 and served mostly military purposes, related to the nearby Russian Novogieogijevsk fortress. It was then the second bridge on Vistula on territories under the Russian rule, but went destroyed by the retreating Russian army in 1915. In 1934 a new bridge was opened on the pillars of the old one, though the carrying construction has been basically designed anew. This bridge was in turn destroyed by the Polish army in September 1939 and was rebuilt in 1952. Long for 576 m stands on 6 pillars, 5 of which are in the water. A bit narrow, two trucks have problems when approaching from opposite directions. Nice, though not breathtaking views on the old Russian fortress.
