Runway bridges
The planning and construction of an aircraft runway bridge is very rare and is necessary precisely when the runway on the mainland has insufficient acceleration and coasting distances. The runway bridge makes it possible to overcome terrain-specific irregularities, such as those e.g. occur in mountainous, maritime airports.
