Abstract:

About the applicability of the simplified design method for mason ry buildings in the North German Plain.

In construction projects in the North German Plain are special rules for determining the load to be observed. The reason for this is that to be expected for a snow load an additional, exceptional load case with 2.3-fold value. For the classification of areas in the North German Plain, the list of technical building regulations (MLTB) of the various states is valid. The purposes of the simplified procedure provided in DIN 1053-100 is subject to certain limits on geo metry and loads. Among other things, this calculation method may be applied only if a variable load of less than 5 kN/mm² on a ceiling works, which is mounted on a wall of masonry. This paper describes the boundary conditions, for which the exceptional load case will prevail and when it is not important.
