Abstract: |
Specifications for the 7 km long M4 section of the A43 Maurienne Highway in France include 2.5 million cubic meters of earthworks, three canal bridges, an anchored wall and a draining wall, all to be completed within a two year period beginning May 1995. The highway cuts through a talus cone averaging about 150 m in length and crosses three streams, requiring construction of an anchored wall and canal bridges over the highway. |
