Abstract:

Calculation of the remaining useful life of a double jib crane.

The scope of this paper is to carry out a fatigue strength analysis with subsequent assessment of the expected remaining useful life, under the assumption of the rated voltage concept, with the example of a double jib crane. To solve this problem a proof has been divided into several subtasks. A sample calculation is performed on the basis of a component of the crane. For the final assessment of the overall construction, the check is carried out at eight other locations of the construction on the basis of the calculation example.
