Abstract:

This article presents the results of tests on the compressive load capacity of AAC walls with a window opening with a clear span of 1550 mm. Different walls were tested in terms of confinement, concrete and the type of lintel. Standard lintels made of ordinary concrete and prefabricated AAC lintels were built in. Models of walls with additional cores placed along the vertical edges of window openings, in which lintel reinforcement was anchored, were also tested. During the study, apart from the load on the walls and deflection of the lintels, the morphology of cracking of the wall models around the lintel was also analyzed.
