Abstract: |
Reinforced Concrete Precast Panels as Noise Protection along High Speed Rail TracksThe noise protection along traffic routes has large importance in Germany due to the high density of population. Reinforced concrete panels as noise protection walls are often used especially along railroad tracks. The loading due to high-speed trains induces oscillation of the walls and the fatigue, therefore, has to be investigated. During the last years, the Laboratory of the Institute of Structural Engineering at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich performed a large number of tests involving cyclical loading. The particular area of interest was the relatively narrow support. |
