Remaining prestressing force of 50 year old bridge girders and prestressing losses according to EC2In the course of the construction project Central Railway Station Vienna a research project on 50 year old prestressed bridge girders was carried out. The research project was subdivided into two parts. The first part included ultimate shear load tests of the girders. These tests were described in [1], comparable tests see [2]. This article describes the second part of the analysis and deals with the measurements of the remaining prestressing forces after a service life of 50 years. Furthermore, a comparison of the measured prestressing losses with the calculated prestressing losses according to EC2 and the influence of different boundary conditions is shown. |
