Abstract: |
David Barnard Steinmann was born in 1886 in New York City, the son of immigrants. His first home was in the shadows of the then just-built Brooklyn Bridge, and growing up he witnessed the construction of tow other major suspension bridges, the Williamsburg and the Manhattan Bridges. This experience was to mark him for life. |
