Abstract: |
Relevant combinations of actions in conventional buildingsFor the design of reinforced concrete members in ultimate limit state according to DIN EN 1992-1-1 the knowledge of the most unfavorable combination of different actions is important to meet the necessary structural reliability. Concerning dead loads it has to be proved, whether the maximal or the minimal design value results in more unfavorable actions. Imposed loads have to be positioned in unfavorable load arrangements and different variable actions must be separated into leading actions Qk,1 and accompanying actions Qk,i according to DIN EN 1990. Calculating concrete members this results in numerous possible combinations of actions, which are analyzed in order to identify the relevant combinations for the design. |
