Abstract:

Effects from the new load-model according to DIN EN 1991-2/NA on the design of concrete bridges

German concrete bridges are currently designed and detailed on the basis of DIN-Fachbericht 101 "actions on bridges" and DIN-Fachbericht 102 "concrete bridges". In near future concrete bridges will be designed and detailed according to the European EN standards. At the same time a new load model with increased traffic loads according to DIN EN 1991-2/NA will be used. In the following the influences from the new load model on the design of concrete bridges are demonstrated.
