Abstract: |
In the composite structures used in steel-concrete connection, the steel structures are embedded in concrete. The behavior of the shear connectors in such structures is different from that in a composite beam. 38 perfobond leisten (PBL) shear connector specimens and 2 anchorage specimens containing PBL shear connector array are designed in 3 successive experimental tests in the laboratory. The test results manifest that PBL shear connectors show a characteristics of concrete when the slip is relatively small whereas, however, seem to be fairly ductile as the bearing capacity is nearly approached. The diameter of inner bar has a greater effect on the bearing capacity of PBL shear connectors than the outer diameter of embraced concrete column does. The first three ranks in a PBL shear connector array can take about 60% of the external load. The shear connectors closer to the loading point will take greater portion of external loads. |
