Abstract: |
The aim of this paper is to explain how the combination of cable stayed and stress ribbon typology works from the structural point of view. The paper is going to show a general overview of stress ribbon bridges and some of the possible combinations of this typology with other structural systems. In a second part, the paper will go more in detail into the particularity of suspending stress ribbon bridges with inclined cables. Finally, an application of this combined typology will be shown for a virtual design at one of the locations proposed by the organization of Footbridge 2017 in Berlin conference. |
