Excerpt from Wikipedia
Veeweyde/Veeweide is a station on the Brussels Metro, served by the western branch of Line 5. This metro station opened on 5 July 1985, and is located underground in the municipality of Anderlecht. It takes ist name from the nearby Rue de Veeweyde.
The station was formerly the western terminus of Line 1B, until the opening of an extension to Bizet in 1992 (since further extended in 2003 towards Erasme/Erasmus). It became part of Line 5 in April 2009.
