Excerpt from Wikipedia
Saint-Guidon (French) / Sint Guido (Dutch) is a metro station on Line 5 of the Brussels Metro. It is located in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht.
History
The station opened on 6 October 1982 as part of the Beekkant–Saint Guidon extension of line 1B as the service was called until 3 April 2009. Prior to the opening of an extension in 1985, the station became the western terminus of line 1B. Since the reorganisation of the network on 4 April 2009, the station is part of the new line 5.
Area
Nearby sights include the Collegial Church of Saint Peter and Saint Guido, for which the station was named; the Erasmus House Museum; the Old Beguinage (now a museum dedicated to religious community life); and the Astrid Park, which is home to the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, where R.S.C. Anderlecht football club play their home games.
