Plentzia is the north-eastern terminus of the Line 1 of Metro Bilbao. It is located in the municipality of Plentzia, in the comarca of Mungialdea inside Bilbao metropolitan area. It is an at-grade station and its fare zone is C. It is located on the right bank Butrón-Plentzia River. It is connected to the rest of the municipality by a passenger bridge.
The section between Urduliz station and Plentzia station is linked by Metro Bilbao in five minutes, making it the longest interval between stations throughout the entire Bilbao subway network.
