King Rama V (King Chulalongkorn) has the building moved to Bangkok from Srichang Island where he had it built originally.

After 1910

Used infrequently by King Rama VI (King Vajiravudh), and for only a short period by King Rama VII (King Prachadhipok) during the early part of his reign. Afterwards the palace remained unused and closed for fifty years until Queen Sirikit began restorations.
