Chronology
1930 — 1932 | The 1930 flood makes railroad traffic on the parallel railroad bridge impossible. Tracks are diverted onto the canal bridge until a replacement bridge opens in 1932. Canal traffic continued during this time as the tow path on one side of the bridge was extended by only 1 meter over the canal. |
