This new dual-carriageway bridge in Nitra, Slovakia, was erected with three pairs of high-performance Doka cantilever forming travellers (CFT). The short cycle times made possible by the Doka CFTs meant that there were no problems in meeting the tight construction schedule

The modular design concept underlying the CFTs made it possible to enlarge them with two extra longitudinal trusses assembled from standard components so they could be adapted to the exceptional 26 m width of the bridge superstructure

The use of new and extremely powerful drive components allowed the CFTs to be moved from one concrete pour to the next safely and without difficulty, despite their increased weight

Safety barriers around all the platforms on all working levels of the CFTs and their integral steps ensured maximum workplace safety during all phases of the work
