For constructing the barrel-shaped section of the Henninger Turm, a cantilevered working and scaffolding platform up to 8 m long was formed at a height of 100 m on the basis of rentable standard system components in 100 m height.

PERI supported the challenging construction project with a comprehensive range of services: from the formwork and scaffolding concept which was already taken into consideration during the tendering stage and on-site assembly support provided by an experienced supervisor through to just-in-time deliveries of system equipment.

The upper landing platforms were integrated into the RCS enclosure and climbed crane-independently together with the protection panel unit to the next section in each case. In the floors immediately below, crane-movable RCS MP Landing Platforms served as a temporary storage areas for crane transportation.

RCS and TRIO formed rail-guided climbing formwork units for the re-created north side of the former grain storage silo.

The execution of the base floors, including the six-storey spiral ramp, took place at the same time as the high-rise construction. This accelerated construction process but also required special consideration in the formwork and scaffolding planning phase as well as the site logistics.

With a height of 140 m, the new Henninger Turm is one of the highest high-rise residential buildings in Germany.

The 210 apartments of the Henninger Turm will be ready for occupancy at the beginning of 2017. The two upper floors in particular, complete with restaurant and observation deck, offer panoramic views of the Frankfurt skyline.

Scaffolding the cantilevered circular building with PERI UP Flex for installing the facade as well as the PROKIT anti-fall protection on the open slab edges supplemented the PERI complete solution.
