The modern Ussher and Berkeley Libraries
Construction work on the site of the James Ussher Library at Trinity was undertaken between 1999 and 2002. It links physically with the pre-existing Lecky and Berkeley Library and provides 750 additional reader spaces. There is room for an additional 360,000 books and learned journals. The new building also houses a Conservation Department and a Map Library. Previously reading space in the Trinity Library was extremely limited.
