Media File No. 461602

New railway bridge, Portadown. The old railway bridge, across the Bann, at Portadown dated from the early 1900's ie about 50 years after the line opened. It was replaced, in an operation lasting 14 days, with the present structure . In this photo (taken five days before the line re-opened) the new bridge is in place but further work was needed to make it usable.
