Haeng Ju Bridge training site, Republic of Korea

An interior bay blooms open after being launched from a Logistics Vehicle System on the Han River Nov. 1. Service members from 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group combined efforts to assemble a portable, pontoon bridge over the Han River at the Haeng Ju Bridge Training Site Oct. 27 through Nov. 2. The 78 Marines and sailors constructed the Improved Ribbon Bridge set alongside the Republic of Korea Army's 1175th River Crossing Group as part of Operation Hwang So-06. Operation Hwang So-06 is a combined training exercise held in the ROK, designed to improve interoperability and strengthen national relations as well as prepare 9th ESB for ist upcoming deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
