Mersey Gateway Bridge - Concrete pour for the base of the south pylon

On 3 & 4 August 2015 we poured 200 loads of concrete, a total of 1400m³, to form the base of the south pylon of the Mersey Gateway Bridge. The pour took 24 hours 45 minutes, finishing 2 hours ahead of schedule. The concrete will take around 90 days to reach full strength.
