Ruins of the Schoharie Creek Aqueduct
Ruins of the Schoharie Creek Aqueduct of the Enlarged Erie Canal, built from 1839 to 1841, and used from 1845 to 1916. The aqueduct had 14 arches spanning 624 feet. This image was taken from the northeast bank at Schoharie Crossing State Historic Park head-on into the remains of the aqueduct projecting into the creek.
