Weighing over 270 tons with a width of 49.7 meters, the steel box girder has been hoisted over 100 meters above the river surface. Upon completion, it will be the widest suspension bridge in the world, with a total of eight traffic lanes. With an overall length of 12.89 kilometers, the bridge stretches from Guangzhou to Dongguan City. The construction of the project is expected to be completed in 2019.
