A slender steel cable stayed pedestrian bridge is part of the Revere Transit Facility and Streetscape Project. It will become an important link to historic Revere Beach, America’s first public beach, established in 1896. The main span of the bridge is 107’ (32.5m) and the overall length is 151’ (46m). A pair of outward-inclined towers will frame access to the beach providing an enhanced and open view of the water. Its stainless steel pedestrian railings are also inclined to match the towers. At 52’ (16m) in height, the towers will be visible from a distance, marking the crossing over Ocean Avenue and the adjacent residential community. The bridge is clean and streamlined with carefully detailed connections. The walking surface will be concrete with a 12’ (3.5m) clear width between railings. It is envisioned that aesthetic lighting will enhance the night experience for all users
