The Sea Phoenix moves between lock chambers of the Panama Canal. Although this ship is far below Panamax size, she still seems to fill the available space, particularly in this view from a small sailboat sharing the lock chamber with the ship, as she transits down the Gatun locks to the Caribbean. On either side, the ship's lines can be seen leading to mules on the lock walls — small locomotives which manoeuvre the ship within and between the lock chambers
