Reliability analysis of concrete bridges for hazard scenariosBridges play a vital role in the highway network, yet are also subject to numerous hazards. In order to protect these important elements of the infrastructure, potential hazards have to be identified, the criticality of bridges needs to be assessed and the efficiency of protection measures has to be evaluated. To achieve this, a methodology is shown, how for different structures and scenarios the reliability can be quantified. Furthermore on sample scenarios the results of a risk analysis are displayed and evaluated. Finally a new indicator of reliability for reinforced concrete bridges is introduced, enabling a simplified estimation of structural safety. |
