Abstract:

The application of concrete dowels in composite constructions (Part 2) - Dynamic loading.

Substantial understanding of fatigue properties of concrete dowels promotes applications of such composite structures in a non stationary load environment. Hence a calculation procedure was developed based on push-out tests, beam tests and numerical analysis of peak stress in order to provide a safe design against fatigue failure. This paper follows the first part, which was published at the end of 2011 [28].
