Abstract: |
ZMS administration building - structural engineering in the context of sculptural architecture. The administration building for the "Zweckverband Müllverwertung Schwandorf" (ZMS) was designed as a "built landscape". Due to the complex geometry and sophisticated architectural demands, the project, consisting of a noise protection embankment, an office wing, and a conference hall, presented a challenging task for the structural engineer. Innovative solutions had to be developed to implement this unique project. This article describes the construction work, emphasizing the solutions developed by the structural engineering team. |
