External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS) with Clinker Tiles, façades free of biocide without risks of algal and fungal attacks.The constant increase of using ETICS is accompanied by a worsening of the problem with algal and fungal attacks. However previous execution examples show that alga and fungus cannot grow if ceramic clinker tiles instead of plasters are used as final layer. In spring 2013 a research project at the Fraunhofer Institut for building physics in Holzkirchen finished investigating the reasons. |
