Abstract:

Connections of precast UHPC elements

Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) elements are particularly suited for precast construction. To utilise the high structural performance of single UHPC elements, solid and economical connections are essential. Such joints are exposed to shear, compressive or tensile forces or combinations of these. This paper presents tests on the load bearing capacity of UHPC nodes. All tests have been carried out within the priority programme 1182 "Sustainable Construction with UHPC" of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The test results provide a basis for construction recommendations of connections for precast UHPC elements.
