Investigations to determine the strength of false acacia woodThis paper describes investigations to determine the strength of false acacia wood. At present, this kind of very durable timber can not get used in building practice, because there are no rules in the German timber design codes. The results permit a classification in the strength classes D50 to D70 according to the Timber design Code DIN 1052:2008, Table F.7 or to the European standard EN 338:2010. |
