Abstract: |
For a new timber research and administration centre, a 10,000 m² building was constructed in wood, using standard Canadian construction techniques and engineered wood products readily available in North America. The comfortable and cost-effective building provides a stimulating working environment for the research staff and serves as a demonstration project for architects, engineers and contractors interested in wood construction. |
